Every lunchtime and after school there are jumping (high / low
triple), throwing (discus, shot and javelin) and running (sprints
/ middle distance) practices on offer for all ages.
The school holds weekly matches against local schools as well as
competing successfully (5th at Junior Level in 2003) in the National
Schools Cup at both Junior (years 7 and 8) and Intermediate (years
9 and 10) level. Regularly The Judd is the most successful in Kent
and the region.
Many athletes go on to represent the district and the county. Recent
individual successes include Ben Wiffen, second in the English Schools
1500 final and Steve Fennell sixth in the World Under 18s 800m Championships
in Canada 2003.
