Progress Report Phase 1 - Maths & Geography Building


The Tender documents were returned by the four chosen contractors on 5th June and following extensive analysis and discussion, John Jarvis Ltd has been selected as our preferred builder.

A Letter of Intent has been submitted to John Jarvis today, 26th June with an expected date of 28th July for building work to begin. John Jarvis are a local company, established in 1911, who have previously worked at Judd as well as other schools in the area. We are confident that the start date will enable us to fit out the new building in August 2009 so that it is ready for occupation in September 2009.

In addition to the regular fundraising campaign, the Old Juddian Society launched a Buy a Brick Campaign this month. Former students of the school are being encouraged to purchase bricks at £50 each, with a target of 1000 bricks being sold. Initial response to the campaign has been encouraging with bricks being bought by OJs who left the school as long ago as 1936!
