Pompeii 1

You are about to undertake a project for which you will need to use your imagination, to carry out some investigative work, and to put together an attractive piece of work. The overall theme for the project is "Pompeii".

Possible ideas

  • Write an imaginative story describing the last moments of someone caught up in the horror of the eruption.
  • Put together a newspaper describing the eruption, and perhaps containing other news about life in the Bay of Naples.
  • Imagine your are a Pompeian Estate Agent. Put together a brochure describing a house which is for sale.
  • Imagine you are a Roman Travel Agent. Write a review of Pompeii, commenting on the entertainment, the shopping opportunities, and the places to eat and drink.

You may have ideas of your own, and you should be aware that you do not have to use the ideas in the above list. You must confirm the title for your project with your teacher before you begin your work.
